| and just like that.. my incredibly long summer is coming to an end (well technically it should have ended yesterday, but since i don't have wednesday classes, today is my last day of summer).
its been a while since i blogged on xanga. since i last updated, i've already gone and gotten back from hong kong. going to hong kong was an interesting experience since the last time i went back was about ten years ago. since i gotten back, everybody keeps on asking me how was my trip to hong kong and to be honest, i don't really know how to answer them. its really hard to explain my entire vacation in just one sentence. so i'll just give my generic response: it was fun. 
well i don't really have much to blog about right now which just shows you how eventful my summer has been.. so i'm just gonna end right now..
oh man.. its my sophomore of year of college already! i hate my schedule.

| summer is finally here and i'm stuck at work. 
today is my first official day working in the summer and i am already experiencing bad omens already. there were so many crazy people complaining non stop today. its so frustrating that can keep on bitching at us while we can not do anything but smile back and try to calm them down. sometimes they just won't shut up. i always have to tell myself to take a deep breathe and suck it up. what makes it worse is that this is what i had to go through today after not feeling well yesterday. i hate people sometimes.
but you know what, i just have to suck it up. one more month until vacation. one more month until i'm on the airplane flying away to hk baby.

| it has been a week and one day since the deadly earthquake measuring 7.9 on the richter scale had hit sichuan province. it was so bad that even my aunt, who lives in hunan province, claimed that she felt the tremors of the earthquake. every single day, images and video clips of the aftermath is still shown all over the media - in the news, in newspapers, on the internet etc. it is absolutely heartbreaking to see the pictures of the destructiveness of the earthquake. there are so many buildings - especially schools, completely leveled, so many families torn apart, so many children orphaned and the death toll is at 40,000 and still rising. people all over the world are raising money for relief effort - especially the chinese. it is amazing to see how chinese people are uniting from all over the world - from canada, united states, taiwan etc. - giving whatever contributions they can give. just this past weekend, there were so many different organizations in 8th ave setting up stalls down the street, trying to raise money. lets just hope that all of the organizations are trustworthy. it is sad to think that there might be people trying to take advantage of the situation at a time like this. i wish there was something i can do to help besides donating money, but i don't believe i am in the position or have the qualification to do anything else but donate money. as of now, contributing money to relief fund is one of the best ways to help. so i urge everyone to donate at least a dollar. every dollar helps.
